Below are samples of work designed by Lisa Glassberg. Some were designed while she was employed at Ogilvy Public Relations or Ketchum. They serve as examples of the kind of work Cultiva Studio can do for you.

CARANA Marketing Brochure

CARANA Corporation needed to rewrite and redesign their company brochure. They wanted to promote their capabilities to both current and prospective clients. CARANA describe themselves as a consulting firm that designs, directs, and delivers economic growth strategies to government, private business, and international donor agencies, particularly the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). CARANA has worked with Cultiva Studio on several projects and asked Lisa to design their brochure. The theme for the brochure was "Making the Connections" and Lisa used connecting puzzle pieces to emphasize the theme.

CARANA/USAID Crop Conditioning Handbook

CARANA Corporation was hired by USAID to write and produce a manual to teach East African farmers proper crop conditioning in order to minimize post-harvest crop losses and maximize profit. CARANA wanted the design of the manual to be easily read, and to have each of the four sections clearly identifiable and they contracted Cultiva Studio to design the manual. Lisa used both color and the texture of each of the four crops to visually define each section. The final manual was digest size, spiral bound, and the covers and section divider pages were laminated for durability. Both CARANA and USAID were thrilled with the manual.

ACHS Alumni Brochure

Archbishop Carroll High School (ACHS) had been handing out an alumni brochure at graduation for several years. The purpose of the brochure is to encourage new alumni to keep in touch with the school as well as to provide them with a list of contact information for their classmates. For 2010, the school's advancement and marketing department decided to provide each new alum with a ticket to the homecoming game and one for a basketball game for the coming season. The school wanted to have the recent graduates come back to campus during the 2010-2011 school year.

ACHS initially contacted Lisa at Cultiva Studio to design a ticket book to hand out at graduation. Since there were only 2 tickets, Lisa suggested that the brochure be re-designed to an 8-panel double gate fold piece (a brochure that folds in on itself twice) so that the tickets could simply be detached from one of the new panels. That way there would also be more room for student photos and upcoming event information; they could still include all the classmates' contact information; and there was room to list additional school administration contacts. The brochure was designed to be more whimsical for the students, while still conservative enough to fit the school's brand.

CMS Spanish Medicare Enrollment Ad

The Media Network (TMN) reached out to Cultiva Studio to design a newspaper ad and a color flyer for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) aimed at a Hispanic audience. The ad was to appear in 6 different publications to promote local events to educate people on new Medicare benefits for 2011. Some events also provided free flu shots for Medicare recipients.

Lisa's experience in designing materials for CMS while she worked for both Ketchum and Ogilvy Public relations allowed this very rushed project to go smoothly. Also, Lisa is bilingual (English/Spanish) which is very helpful when designing an ad in Spanish. TMN prefers working with Spanish-speaking designers when producing materials for a Hispanic audience. Both TMN and CMS were very happy with the work.

Usual Suspects Productions Logo, Business Card & Website

Elizabeth Gay hired Cultiva Studio to design a logo, a business card and a simple website for her video production company, Usual Suspects Productions. She had established her company in January of 2009 but had not had the time to brand her business or set up a website to display her work.

Beth had a vision of an old fashioned diner as a setting for her website but didn't want to be too literal. Just to use it to set a mood because a diner would be the kind of place that the usual suspects would gather to brainstorm over their latest project. The site was created and is hosted on Squarespace; which makes it very easy for Beth to update the site herself and for me to add additional pages or features as needed in the future.

Her business card and logo have a deco feel to them that works with the diner theme but can also stand on their own should she decide she wants to change the look of her site in the future.
